Apparently these guys got a grant from someone somewhere to travel the country and make free commercials for small businesses.
The commercials are super dumb on purpose.
Aaron was showing this one to someone at our house the other day. We were all laughing. All of us. Even the kids.
Aaron has learned his lesson. Little kids are like sponges. This is nothing new. We know not to let them hear anything with bad words in it. We learned our lesson the hard way with that one when Anson was little. I should write about that tomorrow. Our little boy was a cussing sailor for about a month. It was terrible.
This commercial didn't have bad words in it, so why not let the little ones listen and laugh? Here's why....
"At the Red House. Where Black people and White people buy furniture."
So NOT the thing you want to come outside and hear your children YELLING in the backyard while they jump on the trampoline.
So NOT the thing you want to hear your sons singing down the aisle at Kroger.
So NOT the thing you want to hear your child "picking out the tune to" on the piano.
But that song gets stuck in your head, doesn't it?
That's what the boys say every time they get in trouble for singing that song in public.
The new rule is: They can't sing the Redhouse song unless we're at home...indoors.
There are some things not even a transracial family can get away with.
*guess what local small business we nominated to get a free, dumb commercial made?
