Things settled down a little this afternoon. Even the internet took a four hour break. I took a nap.
The streets cleared out a little. Empty. Then full. Like waves.
The people would come. The people would go.
We thought this guy had shown up to save the day. Clear the streets.
He saved the day for these guys.
After the vehicle passed, the rocks and barricades went back into the road.
This is our front porch. I wanted to show how far it is to the wall. Right on the other side is where all these pictures have been taken.
Protesting in the streets could not stop our boys from being boys. Picking berries for one of their favorite games...war.
This scene spoke to me. The man with the trombone walking through the chaos. I will never cease to be amazed at the beauty we find in the middle of such tragedy in this country. This was another one of those moments.

Wow. Just wow, wow, wow.
That picture of the man with the trombone? Stunning.
I will be praying for Haiti tonight . ..
Heather I just wanted to drop a note telling you how many are lifting you in prayer. Claiming Psalm 91 for you and all our friends in Haiti. I was at your church on October 31st with Michelle and Kristina. With God's mercy, I pray to someday be baby Melissa's Mom.
For His Glory,
Jenny Chapman
Your picture and comment about the man carrying the trombone reminded me so much of something I saw in Haiti. While driving from the airport, I saw a woman walking down the street carrying a large three tiered pink and white bakery cake. It was like a dream; seeing such a beautiful and delicate sight amongst all the destruction.
