Hudson::Bedtime Update

Little Mister is in bed.  We spent most of the day worried.  His fever would not seem to let up, no matter how much Motrin or Tylenol he had in his system.

We were waiting for his fever to go down to see how he was acting after his seizure.  Is he back to normal?  It was hard to tell because the fever seemed to be relentless today.  Finally, some time after lunch he woke up.  I held him a few minutes and he said, "My want some oatmik."  Oatmeal.  The boy was hungry.

He ate like a champ.  His fever was low.  He was turning a corner.

This evening he was up playing.  When one of the other boys said, "Mom...Hudson got a chair and climbed on the counter to get something out of the cabinets" Aaron and I looked at each other and said, "Yep.  Back to normal."  Hudson proceeded to do a record number of terribly naughty things between dinner time and bedtime.  We were relieved that our crazy boy seemed to be back in full swing.

Sweet peace is in this place tonight.

Praying the night is restful.

We go to bed grateful people this evening.

One day, when this sickness is all behind us, we'll tell you the story of how the Hendricks were the very worst house guests the Livesay family has ever, ever had.  One day, this is all going to be really funny.  Their little boy, Noah is running fever and sick tonight.  I've already caught our collective group of kids doing really gross things like sharing half-eaten suckers and drinking each other's drinks.  Tuesday two Livesay kids and two Hendrick kids sat in our car and passed around their cokes, tasting each flavor.  You get the gist.  There's a chance that they have shared their germs with each other.  Could you pray for our kids to be well?

Poor little thing...I loved your post yesterday and your honesty. In a week when Ash Wednesday reminds us that to dust we shall return, your humble acceptance of God's grace and His holding us in his hands is beautiful.
